Frankly, this was more porn than I was expecting. The young heroine was little more than a chilld, forced to take on an adult's responsibilities, because her father wouldn't - or worse, couldn't. He was in debt to a loan shark for over ten thousand dollars. The debt was due, and instead of paying on it, he kept borrowing and losing more. She knew that the penalty for that would be death. And that would leave her alone, with nothing to show for her life's work. So she took her last fifteen dollars to a local casino in Vegas, where they lived, and bought chips, then sat back and watched, like her gambling father had taught her. Slowly, observing one game at a time, she kept winning, then pulling out of the game, and waiting for the next loser to appear. By the time she has won enough to bail him out, she decides to take advantage of the compt suite, so she can rest awhile before taking one last run on the casino's money. She meets a handsome man who has been watching her winning, and wants to know how she does it. The rest you can imagine, but I'm not going to tell you anymore. I just wanted to rescue her myself and let her live her life as a child, not as a parent to a grown man who loves to gamble more than he loves his daughter. Too sad for me.Jgtimm

Don't waste your time reading. It was weird and had a horrible ending. I was looking for the next book because Shirley it did end that way.

When Tanya White is asked to join a important meeting with a very wealthy client, she is more than just shocked, especially when the client is drop dead gorgeous. And when in the middle of the meeting he stands to leave but takes Tanya's hand and drags her to the executive elevator with him. What happens in that elevator is very, very intense!!! And that is only the beginning of what Magnus Lord is going to do to her.
I'm not giving no more away since it an ABSOLUTE Must Buy for when the ladies need some really good naughty read!! Mature audience 18+.
Characters were poorly developed. There did not appear to be any chemistry between these two main characters. Tanya blindly follows and allows Magnus to do whatever he wants to sexually to her, and he does go to the extreme limits. There were no safe words, no soft or hard limits given, and no explanation of what to expect to Tanya who has never experimented with BDSM. There is NO plot, romance, chemistry, or love between Magnus & Tanya. The story itself was missing. Unless you get this for free and are curious, don't waste your time!
Just finished this book and am still not sure how I feel about it. The characters were 1-dimensional and you never really got a feel for either of them. I also have many unanswered questions because it ended so quickly. There wasn't much development on anything. I still don't understand why Tanya allowed ANY of the things to happen that she did and there was really no "romance" to speak of. I'm just confused by the whole book.
